![]() ![]() I'm a complete Formula One nut but I'm interested in all forms of petroleum based sport (including NASCAR, sometimes), I used to be an excellent Skier however living in a sub tropical area of the world and loving food too much has made me quite rusty. I have a beautiful, tolerant and smart Wife, a very clever 11 year old daughter, and a troublesome 2 year old son. If you want to know more about my professional background, I keep that up to date on my Linked In Profile.Īlthough I wouldn't be surprised if you thought otherwise, I do have a life outside of Design, Autodesk Software, CAM, blogging and twitter. I'm currently a Manufacturing Technical Specialist for Autodesk VAR CADPRO Systems, based in Auckland, New Zealand. First things first, I'm a Proud Cornishman living in the 'winterless' north of New Zealand way down in the southern Pacific. If you have 2014 products installed, then main thing is you MAKE SURE you have all of the product updates applied BEFORE upgrading to Windows 8.1. ![]() Please make sure you read the comments below, Autodesk have fixed this issue. I can’t get Inventor 2014 to launch at all, along with Inventor trashing Windows Explorer (Although everything seems to work when using the windows forms within an application), I will be regressing back to plain old Windows 8 for the time being. I’ll post back here with any revelations or fixes. For now I’m going to go away and decide if I’m going to persevere with the problem, uninstall Inventor permanently (unlikely) or format my PC and return to Windows 8 RTM. In the meantime I hope either Microsoft or Autodesk release a fix to deal with this sooner than that. Obviously Windows 8.1 Preview isn’t supported by Autodesk, but hopefully the final released of 8.1 will be. Image path: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2013\Bin\rse.dll The important part of the error is as follows:įAILURE_ID_HASH_STRING: um:application_fault_e06d7363_rse.dll!rsetxnbulletin::setdefunct Unfortunately I’ve not been able to generate a dump file yet to assess if the Inventor 2014 issue is identical to the one confirmed with Inventor 2013 on this forum post, thank you to those guys for troubleshooting the problem and sharing it with everyone online. I currently don’t have a fix for the problem, I’ll post back here if I do, in the meantime I uninstalled Inventor 2014 to confirm the problem would go away and sure enough it does. This problem isn’t restricted to just Inventor 2014 but has been reported with Inventor 2013 as well. Microsoft released a fix pretty quickly for the AutoCAD issue within the first round of their updates for the Preview, I hope they or Autodesk release a fix for this one fairly quickly. I was aware there have been a number of application compatibility issues, including one with AutoCAD but decided to go for it anyway. Anyway, if you ever change your mind, my offer to translate the software at a very affordable price stands. This weekend I thought I’d take a risk and install Windows 8.1 Preview. To be honest, given the fact that there are about 275 million people who speak French in the world and about twice as much people who speak Spanish, and with all due respect to German speaking users, I find it rather curious that the software has German as an option but not French or Spanish. ![]() I even suggested that I might do a such translation (again being a professional translator) myself, into French and/or into Spanish, at a very affordable price, but that didn't seem to raise any interest either. They (Miss Ellie Ng) have kindly told me to post my request in the forum. I've asked this directly in the "Finding a download" support section. Hello, I too am looking for a French version of Fusion 360, not so much for myself as I understand English quite well (which comes handy being a professional translator) but for fellow (French and Spanish speaking) design enthusiasts who love the software, but are somewhat discouraged as the UI isn't in their language. ![]()
